Welcome back to another season of Grande Cache Minor Baseball....
REGISTRATION FOR 2026 WILL OPEN FOR RETURNING PLAYERS FEBRUARY 2ND TO 16TH.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN FOR NEW PLAYERS FEBRUARY 17TH.
2025 SUCCESSES
- GCMBA entered a 12U and 14U female team into the BAGL (Baseball Alberta Girls League). The teams travelled during the regular season and attended Baseball Alberta's inaugural BAGL Provincials in Beaumont. Games were won, games were lost but most importantly competitive and team spirits were at the forefront. GCMBA is very excited for the future of Female Baseball in this province.
- Grande Cache 14U Female team hosted Rocky Mountain House for a regular season double header on a beautiful June weekend. The Cubs went 1 and 1 in front of an excellent crowd.
- The 11U Cubs travelled to Hinton as they hosted us for their annual tournament. It was hot, it was dusty but each and every player played their hearts out.
- GCMBA made significant equipment purchases outlining our commitment to development. A pitching machine, chalk machine, bats and balls to name a few. Again, thank you to our sponsors for making this possible!!
- The 9U Cubs consisted of 3 teams and a house league was formed. Each practice day consisted of 2 of these teams playing a game. We look forward to seeing some of you up in 11U!!

WHATS NEW FOR THIS YEAR
Our main goal as an association is to improve each and every season. A few highlights of what to expect this year as we continue to grow:
- The addition of a 16U Female team to our already existing 12U and 14U Female teams. All 3 teams teams will be joining the BAGL Baseball Alberta Girls League.
- Last year we attended Hinton's 9U Baseball Day Jamboree. GCMBA looks forward to the possibility of the 9U Grande Cache Cubs hosting their very own Jamboree in 2026!!
- 11U TRAVEL TEAM. Yes this is possible. 11U players and parents, we will be holding a meeting once registration closes to discuss holding tryouts to form an 11U travel team. Stay Tuned. This is also a possibility for the 13U's and 15U's and is dependant on commitment and numbers.
- 11U, 13U, and 15U have the opportunity to participate in the Edson and Hinton house league tournaments which would be 2 weekends of baseball action.

CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS
- All coaches are required to submit a Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check every 3 years. Record checks from other organizations will be accepted. If a coaches criminal record check status changes within those 3 years it is expected that GCMBA will be notified.
GCMBA WEATHER POLICY
It is GCMBA's intention to provide as much notice as possible to cancel practices due to adverse weather. However, with weather being unpredictable, practices and games may be cancelled with little to no notice. We ask you to please be patient and understand that GCMBA will provide an update as soon as possible. ***Even if it's pouring on one side of town it may be dry at the diamonds and vice versa***
